Case study: CoachTrip

Working closely with experts in UK coach travel, we developed a comprehensive travel booking and planning service that takes the headache out of organising trips for both operators and travellers.

For the solution to be commercially viable, cloud hosting costs and operational overheads had to be minimised while ensuring a scalable and responsive system: database and server architecture had to be tuned for cost-efficiency without compromising performance.

Target user demographics emphasised the need for a simple and intuitive interface with comprehensive online help. The design ensures that the traveller booking and vehicle route planning problem is straightforward for end-users who are unlikely to be 'digital natives'.
