Facebook reaches saturation in UK?

Responding to an article in the Guardian this week, social media analysis firm SocialBakers clarified that the Facebook population in the UK may have actually reached market saturation.

This is undeniably as amazing an achievement as it is shocking: pretty much every person in the UK who is able or likely to have a Facebook account, already has one.

Facebook has spent very little on advertising themselves to achieve this – their growth has been almost entirely due to viral marketing and has gained Facebook the #3 spot internet audience numbers in the UK.
